Finally, I have to say that Shanghai is beginning to hold GBLT parties in style and all within a month. Whao I am sweating cold sweat. Its like the first time I heard Princes Black Sweat album. Brings goose bump to the flesh. Is this really too good to be true? First, there was the coolest drag party in Frangipani bar (www.frangipainbar.com/event.htm) which unfortunately they term as 'costume party'. Then last weekend's great GBLT party in Pinkhome (www.pinkhome.cn). Even straight couples and individuals were included. The Fabulous Prolly, the famous Drag Queen from Sydney did her 1 person show. My review of her performance, two thumbs up. She's got guts and she's not afraid to take on the crowd. The party crowd took to her like a drunk to liquor. Now if that is the future of all parties with cool drag shows and some of the coolest house music on this side of the planet, sign me up again.

Is it safe yet to say that China has arrive on the GBLT world stage? LOL (laugh-out-loud); not likely. One can find an honest opinion on China's GBLT activities in www.urnotalone-asia.com . If you are ever in Beijing, you may want to skip the Suzy Wong club. Its NOT Trans friendly. We went to the Suzy Wong club when the Destination Club became unbearably packed. At Suzy Wong's we were denied entry. The reason cited, we were NON MEMBERS. Strangely enough, numerous straight couples who obviously are NOT MEMBERS of the club waltzed in with NO problems. So we made it a point to read the sign by the receptionist. Here is what the sign says; rule 1-members can go in blah blah...rule 2 - we reserve the right to deny entry to non members. I think they should revamp rule 2 to mean no GBLT or especially the "T" portion will be permitted. I would say Suzy Wong Club staff has the right to reject us if we looked like hookers and obviously we were dressed quite conservatively but tastefully sexy. I posted a picture taken by one of my friends to show you an example of how we dressed.

A tgurl party in Shanghai is indeed a rare event. We had a great time in the Frangipani bar (www.frangipanibar.com). Although the advertisement promised 30 tgurls. There were 4 gurls.
