It was the first the BDSM meet in for the Shanghai BDSM group for 2009. It started out a little slow. Mistress Fifi and Nicole were afraid that due to the Lunar New Year golden week, they would be the only two kinksters there.

The gorgeous Goddess Qing and Her slave, michelle, came by to check out the scene. Soon switch G and the sultry Mistress Woo joined the party. Slave jojo, slave michelle and slave roland had more than they bargained for when they 'volunteered' themselves as the Mistresses' guinea pigs ... er...."bondage models."  The three slaves were calling out, "救命 (jiu-ming)," in perfect Chinese. So it seems that we have found the best way to teach lao-wai's how to speak Mandarin with perfect Chinese accent.  They were lucky as they have experience Mistresses as play partners.

Our deepest apologies for those that came to this party. Our usual space on the third floor at Backstage were renovated and we were not informed ahead of time. We were at the balcony for the most part until 10:30pm, we got a table in the bar. There were several people who came earlier. Sorry to have missed you if you couldn't find us. The blonde mascot was late.

 Without our usual space, there was no chance for us to strip down to our intimate wear. We should have renamed this party, wear your lace inside your clothes and keep your clothes on party. :-(

Plan B kicked in. Once we had our table, we commenced with the main event which was to celebrate Ivy's birthday. Ivy Sr. is one our lovely SGGURL moderator who we have had the pleasure of knowing more than a year ago. We still remembered Ivy Sr. was dress as a wicked witch with a Jaws head magic. She was in the original pic that graced our SGGURL's site when it first started which we took at MOX. It's hard to believe that the year had gone by so quickly.

 We had a round of agave fire water (80 proof) on the house after the cake cutting. That was enough to loosen up everyone especially the resident land croc. Nic was busy trying to figure out the laces underneath everyone's clothes. See photo with a piece of thread still stuck in Nic's teeth when she took a chomp out of Trisha's bras strap.

We were in good spirits after the shots of tequila, we made our way to Cows & Coolies to meet up with Becky. There was some serious pool competition going on. Destinee tried her hand at pool. We were wondering if she was playing pool or just looking sexy.

It was a night where people from all walks of life joinned to celebrate diversity. Despite the earlier drizzle, participation was fantastic. The rain stopped just as the celebration got underway. We could not have asked for better timing. The weather cooled down nicely so that we could chill outside when things got too hot inside and the gurls did sizzle things up inside. The bungalow was gigantic. It had 7 giant bedrooms upstairs. One of the rooms was converted into a makeup station for our two very talented make-up artist.

 
The night was special. We had a very rare opportunity to celebrate three birthdays: Rebec, Hendrika and SGGURLS.  The totally delectable cakes were specially chosen by Adaline for the birthday girl and gurls. The catered Indonesian food, wonderful cakes, fine wine and beer were only the starters for the great celebration. It was a also a night when the gurls and friends of SGGURLS took ownership of the club and made it their own. The moderators were asked to gather around for the cake cutting ceremony. Nic made a speech on behalf of the group saying that SGGURLS is a group not just for the transgendered, but a group for anyone who had ever been discriminated. The birthday wish for SGGURLS is to be a positive force to forster respect amongst people regardless of their gender, gender preferences, race, religion, creed and country. We were also very happy that the owner of MYGURLZ came all they way from KL to celebrate SGGURLS' birthday. She was happy to see a united transgender community in Singapore celebrating their friendship in mirth and with warmth.

After the cake cutting ceremony, the celebration went into overdrive. Kaila was the emcee for the night and a fine emcee she was. She whipped up the audience into a frenzy when the beautiful Destinee, sexy Ivy and delicious Trish performed their hearts out. Destinee did two song numbers. Trish sang 'Fever' and Ivy heated up things with very exotic dance.  

And when everyone thought that the show as over, Joy brought out the ropes. Nic and Joy were like Betty Boo meets Betty Paige domina duo. They caught their naughty lollita and the birthday gurl. Before the gurls knew it, they were bound, gagged and tickled mercilessly for an hour. But this was all done in good fun of course.

A special thank you to Adaline, Kaila, Destinee, Trish, Ivy Jr., Deanna, Hendrika, Zeus, Bobby for making the celebration a success. And a big hug to all our wonderful friends who came and made the night a memorable one.

It had been a very long time since we visited our friends at Tocame. Tocame primarily caters to the lesbian crowd and it is not a wonder that we found the best looking women on the planet crowded in this little space. Its times like this that I am so glad that I am a dyke.

The lovely Mistress Shirley and Mistress Sally were gracious enough to drop by for a drink (not in any pics as requested). Our official photographer for the night was Patric (also not in any pics as requested). We were very happy to finally meet the lovely Miss Angeline. This was the first time for her to come out enfemme in her own homeground. She is beautiful as well as brave.

Cindy dropped by with lots of gifts for the Chalet. OMG the gurl is giving away a fortune of lovely dresses: silk dresses, designer cotton tops, etc. This gurl was so tempted to keep them for herself. Linda came out with an excellent suggestion to auction off the clothes and donate the money to charity. We'll most likely do as Linda recommended. I can think of a few deserving charities like the Children's Pocket Fund. We can have our event Chairwoman (miss Adaline) write a check on behalf of SGGURLS to two or three deserving charities.

After midnight, Joy showed us the ropes of having a good time. Once the genie was out of the bag, some of the gurls were quite tied up for the night. Trish was too enamored with the KTV system that she didn't notice some nice white ropes on her. :-P Or maybe she did but she just ignored the pest that was on bugged her.

We just hoped that we didn't embarass the TocaMe patrons too much. There were a few patrons that walked up to us and said that the ropes look like fun. They were wondering what happens next. Nic told them that they can take the packaged gurls back with them if they so desired. Our new friends smiled and winked at the gurls, absolutely delighted with such a naughty treat. ;-)

Thanks to our lovely gurls that Halloween 2008 beat sitting at 11pm watching Survivor on the telly. Our guests Veron & Dyana were dressed in the dopest meeeoooowww...Cat suit and Goth outfit that would make any straight male go berserk. They look waaay too good. Andy and Alex (AlexSG01) dropped by for a drink before running off to their next caper.

We had Rayne in her sexy Goth gear, Kaila in a hot leather chipao, Joy wearing a deliciously wicked she-devil costume, Trish looking like the hot young Tina Turner (I know she'll disagree), Shelia in a nice elegant dress, Destynee looking ravishing in her scrumptious lollita outfit, my luvly slut she-devil Adaline in a cosplay outfit, the shy demure Cindy wearing a kinky french maid costume, beautiful Andrea in a black elegant dress, Hendrika in a Thai university female outfit, and me da big COWgurl.

Backstage was packed tighter than a can of sardines. It looked like a mini UN gathering with representatives from all continents with schmoozing and giving each other friendly spanks on the butt. Given that this was the tail end of a work week, the turnout was quite good. The Backstage team did a good job in making the place look spooky unfortunately there were no ghouls or ghost in the place only hot bods on the prowl.

After Backstage, the group splintered to Cows&Coolies, Alley Bar @Peranakan Place and Thumper@Goodwood Park. Master Richard + partner, , Bobby + partner, were at Cows & Coolies with most of the gurls. All in all Halloween 2008 amidst the economic downturn got my two thumps up.

The SGGURLS moderators convened at DYMK bar at about 9pm+++. Some of the gurls were already there since 6pm as they attended Leona Lo's talk. Before the Moderator's meeting started a variety of topics were discussed. The most memorable were highlights from Leona Lo's inspirational talk about the challenges that a trans-gurl will face. Destynee said that the best part of the talk she liked was that a tgurl needs to be self-reliant and not hope for the knight in shining armor. There's no such person. Trish agreed and said that building up a means to achieve financial independence was a key to a successful pre and post transition.

The topic of purging came up during the discussion. A spot survey from the moderators showed that almost all the Mods (short for Moderators of SGGURLS) who were present that night had purged their fem personalities at least twice only to be defeated by a stronger resurgence from their fem side. Nic said that "we're born with a curse never to escape the need to be a woman." Trish however disagreed and said that it was not a 'curse' but a blessing. Trish summed it up best by saying that Trans people (MtF, FtM) are the only people with a unique understanding of what it means to be a man and a woman. All the Mods agreed that it's quite difficult if not impossible to escape from wanting to be that elusive girl / woman. This need is like the programming in salmons that compel them to swim upstream.

The Mods also discussed about how a pressing issue of harrassments of members and Mods in the SGGURLS forum. The Mods discussed the term 'harrassment'. Harrassment means to incessantly contact the gurls without any regard if the communication was not welcomed. We discussed about some specific cases that happened for the last two weeks. It was agreed that if the harrassers persist, then the Mods will take appropriate actions. The approach is to reason with them first. The banning of harrassers will be a last resort.

When Kaila & Joy finally arrived (10:30pm ), Trish called the meeting in order. The Mods meeting was chaired by Destynee and Kaila. Destynee briefed us the status of the arrangements. Kaila went through the agenda. Destynee gathered our decisions for the halal menu which made many of us hungry. If the menu sounds as good as the actual food, most of us can't wait to get their hand on the food. Nic and Destynee worked out the finance for the SGGURLS nite. We discovered that we were short of about S$200. The Mods brainstormed on how to cover the shoftfall. Smart Joy suggested that each of the Mods contributed an additional sum. The sum to be worked out. Ivy suggested that we also ask if some of the bars, etc. wanted to sponsor our SGGURLS nite. There were some items that still needed to be worked out particularly drivers and the drinks portion. Destynee suggested that the Mods bring 1-2 bottles of their favorite drinks. Nic suggested that maybe make it optional (but much appreciated) if participants would also bring a bottle of their favorite wine or liquoer.

The Mods also got to meet up with Angeline who posted her photos on the board recently. Kaila exchanges some tips for her on how to overcome her shyness. Most of us already think that Angeline is brave for joining the Mods meeting. After the meeting, the gurls adjourned to smoking heaven ("Cow&Coolies"). For non-smokers the place was smoking hell. But our friends in Cows&Coolies already very familiar with our group were fun. Their friendliness and craziness made up for the blured vision from the heavy smoke.

The Ladies of the Ring party was a ruse to celebrate two of our wondeful friends' birthdays; Trish and Shirley. The celebration was the first of all sorts. A delicious cake for two beautiful and elegant ladies.

The outing was made memorable by Edwina's debut. She looked fantastic and totally passable. Most of us didn't recognised her when she stepped into our private party at Backstage.

To help us celebrate the two special friends' birthdays, we were joined by Zack, elegant Edwina, handsome man Daniel, beautiful Rose, Ada, Joy, Kaila, Ivy, Nic, delightful Andrea, Benaissa, Cindy, Destynee and Rayne. We cut the cake slightly after 11pm. The party started in earnest at midnight after a few drinks and some crazy modeling for camerawomen Rayne and Nic.

The gurls hopped over to +Plus for some KTV and pool followed by a spot of supper.

If you have a choice to watch bad TV on a Thursday night or come to a SM munch, which would it be for you?

28 people chose the latter (pictures not posted as requested). There were quite a few newbies in this meet. We had to make sure that they were not in the wrong place. There were two groups of very nice looking people and a sexy couple sitting quietly in one corner. Nicole gave them a quiz: does a BDSM meet stand for "Business Development Sales Marketing" meet, "Big Daddy Small Mama" meet, or "Bondage Discipline Sado Masochism"? Luckily, the newbies answered correctly. They were introduced to several toys two of which were from auction from Mistress Cyra. Most of everyone could not guess the use of the hot-icy stimulator. A few thought it was a magic wand. Most of the newbies thought the penis gag was something they stick in their other holes....OO000oooooh oh. Nic naughtily introduced the crop and her version of the 'friendship' bracelet to the newbies. They had loads of fun with the toys.

We had a good representation of moderators who kept the party safe, sane, legal and fun. Our dear founders MJ, Sir Alex, Hendrik, Mistress Karen, and the team from SGGURLS were there to make sure that people didn't feel bored. After a few drinks, people started getting a little more relaxed; the mingling started. Some of the slaves got a little naughty raring the Dominants to get a go at them. That night we had Master R & slave, Master Richard & His haarem (no kidding, Master Richard brought his whole haarem), Master Brian & slave, Master John & slave nina, Master Alex & haarem, Hendrik & plenty of his Sales Marketing friends, andy, sWitch Dyna, and many more people whose names escape me at the moment.

Goth Nite at Backstage was awesome. The girls, gurls and guys looked fabulous in BLACK, leather and PVC. Besides looking just wonderfully vamp, we watched the goofie film, JACKASS and TWOWONGFOO in our little cozy bar. It was a treat to have Mel, Den, and Dyana with us. A few of the gurls got quite a few admirers blowing cat calls and coming up to them for a kiss.

Destynee actually wanted a few of the gurls to rehearse for SGGURLS nite. Unfortunately, with JACKASS 2 on the plasma scree, everyone became riveted with the 'old man ball' gag. Soon the dance rehearsal was forgotten. The blonde one may be off the hook, since Terrence assessed that she can't really dance. Preparing for GOTH night was fun. The hardest thing was hunting for BLACK lipstick. Most of the conventional make up brands don't carry black. They do carry dark red, but that's not the same as the black that makes your blood scream sexy.

Once the crowd thinned down a bit in Backstage, the gurls were up to their SM shenanigans. Joy wanted to bring the ropes out and Adaline was game; but everyone just looked too shag to be the Domme. After Backstage, supper at Lao Pa Sat    was in order. Woo hoo...good food and more booze.

Most of the moderators from the SGGURLS group came to the Handbag Nite event on 9th Aug 2008. There was a very interesting discussion that night. This was regarding the closet tgurls who had messaged our Mods incessantly and asking for private meets or advise on coming out. The mods (moderators) shared notes and the questions that were asked of them. All of us found the questions to lay around common themes which I'll talk about below.

There was a particular request from a closet CD that was made to our beautiful leggy moderator, Kaila. This particular closet tgurl asked to meet Kaila in a private hotel room for a bondage session. Kaila told the gurl that she don't even know this person and suggested that the gurl come to one of the SM gatherings or maybe just one of the SGGURLS outing. The gurl responded that she's a closet CD and "can't" come out.

Personally, I too have had numerous emails and chats from closet CDs who had asked for advise on coming out. Most of these gurls seem to harbor unrealistic expectations such as a perfect coming out process. In your first outing, it not necessary to look all glittery and glam. My usual advise is to relax and carry no expectations. Just come out and have fun. I think there were quite few gurls that followed my advise like just hanging out with gurls in guy mode. When they feel comfy, they can come out in their gurl mode. Making and having friends who understand the mindset of tgurls ease the coming out process. We also understand the need to protect your identity that's why our outings are always in bars that we have carefully screened. You definitely won't find us in disciminitory places like St.James.

Trish Leong, our gorgeous sister said to me, "the closet tgurls just need to suck it up and come out. All of us have gone through the fear of coming out. It's part of growing up. There will always be plenty of excuses for not doing coming out. Its too bad that these closet tgurls will miss out the fun."

In reality, there are quite a number of CDs with family committment, living with family, or feel that they look too manly. For the first two reason, there are many ways of transforming. You just need good planning and also you need to know when to ask for help. The mods collectively have quite a vast network of makeup professionals now who can help you do the makeover at a fraction of the cost. This network is growing all the time as we come out and meet new friends and also make new allies in the process. For the last reason of not coming out because for fear of looking too manly. LOL, I think I look very manly. So what if some idiots call us 'ren yao', 'bapok', 'ah gua' (not 'ah gao' lol), 'tranny', etc. Hee hee I have had been called all of those terms before. I sometimes call myself BBB (big bapok buaya) so that the term itself loses any negative connotation. If you want to be a gurl, there are certain downside that you'll have to live with. We minimize this negative experieces by choosing the places we go to. We chose the Tanjong Pagar area because it is GLBT friendly. Most people there won't even bat an eye or give us a second look. And what can be worse to be proposition by two strangers on a motorcycle for only $50? :-(  I rather be called all those derogatory terms that to be priced only at S$50.

NATO? which stands for 'No Action Talk Only'. As you can see that this is NOT the case with SGGURLS. We are real and we have been making a lot of inroads into commercial establishments. We have found places that are safe for the gurls to do their IPL, to dress up, to buy their clothes, to buy /try shoes, to buy wigs, to do their make-up, to party, etc. This we have done for you gurls and we'll do more if we can. The SGGURLS will only exist if the members who are in here, make an effort to really participate and join in the community rather than just be a lurker. Help us to help you. Addtionally, note that the moderators are also normal people just like you with jobs and committments. Please give them a break and don't hassle them too much. Use the SEARCH FIELD on top of the messages and search for message threads. Since the SGGURLS inception, we have covered many topics. Most of the topics are contributed to various members. Our outings are also tailored made for the mood of the discussions. For instance, there was all the talk about Wigs. We actually did a WIG Nite. Unfortunately, the big talkers didn't even show up. But we did the event not because we wanted to show people up. We we did it because we genuinely wanted to help.

SINGAPORE, 9th AUGUST 2008.

Saturday was Singapore's 43rd birthday and the gurls of SGGURLS celebrated in style. We all met up at eBAR just two doors down from Taboo. eBAR was so comfortable and private that the gurls got stuck there for the longest time. When we finally decide to make a move to Taboo, it was kind of late. The cover charge of 20sgd was that appealing. I guess the gurls were already spoilt in places like Backstage, +Plus, DYMK ("the new MOX"), Cows&Coolies, TocaME and eBAR where there are no cover charge.

After standing outside Taboo for awhile the gurls decided to go to Cows&Coolies. It had been awhile since we all went there. The owners of the establishment recognized us and immediately made us feel comfortable. We got the back nice little alcove at the back of the bar. We met some really cool friends in the bar. Rebecca, one of the regulars at Cows&Coolies, aced all our best pool players. Yikes! One after another, the gurls fell to the king of the pool table.

The gurls sang their songs, drank and chatted to their hearts content. The bar closed at 3:00 AM or was it at 2:00 AM? Sorry I can't remember. Maybe its not a good idea to get the dumb blonde to write the review. LMAO. Cows&Coolies is a mix bar catering mostly to the lgbt crowd. There were some knockouts in Cows & Coolies last night unfortunately they didn't want their pictures taken. Ada and Nic scared the patrons at Cows&Coolies with their SM antics. That would leave a lasting impression. Rebecca was a bit squemish when spanking Ada's butt but she warmed up nicely at the end. Kaila a little tired and still sore from being trounced in pool, wanted to spank Rebecca. LOL I can't write their comments in here. Let's just say that revenge is best served with a paddle in the rump. :-P

Zhong Yuan Jie 中元节 is when the gates of Hades opens up once a year for ghosts to wander our world. This is the Chinese equivalent of Halloween. The gurls love halloween. That is when most of us met for the first time last year. It was love at first sight. We have been having fun for 10 months. And in two more months, 1 year had quickly elapsed. Fun and time seems to have an inverse relationsip. The more fun one has, the faster time seems to disappear. After a very exhilirating discussion in a very noisy bar...:-P, there was some more boozing, some incorrigible chain smoking, some KTV-ing, more boozing, more smoking, some comparison of fashion especially the exquisite 6" heels that some of the gurls wore, exchanging of notes on hormone treatment, make up tips, and the recent IPL offer from Allure. We had a great time at +PLUS. Ray, Aaron + Crew made us feel at home eventhough the bar was solidly packed. Our pool aces didn't even have their turn on the pool table.

Deanna dropped by for the discussion but she had to leave early. At about 12:30 am, Destynee, Adaline, Trish, Cindy, Ivy, Joy, Kaila, Rayne, Edwina, Nic nip over to say 'hi' to our favorite friends at Backstage. We got to watch "Love in the time of Cholera". Wow! Talk about a fanstastic romance movie.

Singapore, 31st July - 1st August 2008

We had our meet for the first time in DYMK bar. Since it was the bar's second day after its opening, the bar was still relatively unknown and it afforded a lot of privacy. There were close to 30 members (pics not shown as requested) that showed up coming and going at different times during the munch. The participants for the meet were made out of an even mix of men, women and tgurls (10:10:10) where there were more sWitches than subs or Dominants. In this meet, the majority of the SM'ers had at least 5 years of experience in various aspects of their kink. There were quite a few new faces that night and some old faces that we thought had dropped off at the edge of the world. We were also very glad to see the new faces from our last meet that attended their second meet. It was very gratifying to hear that they enjoyed this meet as much as the previous one. Master Richard who attended our meet for the first time said, "I almost gave up on meeting true kinksters in Singapore. I have been on Collarme for three years and I am fedup. Tonight gave me some hope. It's nice to see that there's at least an underground SM scene."

We were all anxiously awaiting for our century year old founder (MJ) to show but when when DYMK gave us the boot at midnight, our grand old Master still hadn't shown up. He must have had a bout of alzheimer or forgot where he left his walker again. The meet was quite casual until Master Alex brought out his ropes. All the gorgeous shy slaves scurried away and hid at the back corner of the bar while Nic went hunting for victims ..ahem...models. We found three brave models to endure tight bondage, Mistress Karen's tickling come spanking, Nic's riding crop and wooden hair brush, Master Alex's whips, riding crops, etc. It was bondage mayhem. The bar closed at midnight otherwise the meet would have gone on till much later.
